Get to Know Julie Cowin

Born in Michigan’s upper peninsula and raised in Enid, Oklahoma, Julie Cowin joined the healthcare field in 1997 upon graduating from Pensacola State College. In the years since, she’s gained invaluable hands-on experience in a broad range of healthcare specialties: Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Postpartum Mother/Baby care, Mammography, Otolaryngology, and Gastroenterology.

Julie’s working life began when she was just 14 years old. During high school, she was employed at a grocery store where her boss emphasized the importance of customer service. His impression was lasting. “As an R.N., I truly enjoy helping my patients navigate their way through the health care system,” she says. To this day, Julie makes a point of stopping by the grocery store to see how her former boss is doing whenever she returns to her hometown.
